Two Men Arrested in Connection with Overnight Shooting

Corpus Christi police have taken two individuals, one a juvenile, into custody in relation to an overnight shooting near Yorktown and Lipes.

Police arrested 22-year old Raymond Bearden for public intoxication and inducing curfew. Officers found him with a 16-year old male walking on Port Avenue. The juvenile was arrested for aggravated assault.

Corpus Christi Detectives believe the two are suspects in the overnight shooting of a 23-year old man. The victim was found around 2 a.m. near Yorktown and Lipes with two gunshot wounds to his chest. He was rushed to an area hospital.

The victim told police that the men who shot him were friends of his.
