Court Appearance Set for 'Baby Grace' Mom and Step-Father

Richard Longoria

GALVESTON, Texas (AP) - A woman and her husband face a court appearance tomorrow in Galveston on charges related to the death of a toddler believed to be "Baby Grace."

Investigators say they're fairly confident of the ID of the girl whose body washed ashore last month in a storage bin in Galveston Bay.

An autopsy revealed three skull fractures.

DNA test results are pending, but the girl is believed to be two-year-old Riley Ann Sawyers of the Houston suburb of Spring. She's originally from suburban Cleveland, Ohio.

The mother, 19-year-old Kimberly Dawn Trenor, and her husband, 24-year-old Royce Clyde Zeigler II, were arrested Saturday.

They're charged with injury to a child and tampering with evidence. Bond is $350,000 each.

Investigators say Trenor mislead relatives when she told them someone claiming to be an Ohio social worker took the child in July.

Riley's father lives in Ohio.
