12-Year Old Girl Danced Nude at Strip Club

Richard Longoria

DALLAS (AP) - Dallas can't shut down a strip club just because a 12-year-old runaway danced nude at the site.

The city ordinance that regulates sexually oriented businesses does not allow authorities to revoke the license of such a business for employing someone under 18.

Investigators say -- over a two-week period last year -- the sixth-grader danced at Diamonds Cabaret. Authorities also found a 17-year-old girl working in the club in January.

Operators of the Diamonds Cabaret did not immediately comment.

Twenty-seven-year-old Demonica Abron, who worked as a stripper, and 22-year-old David Bell are charged with felony sexual performance of the child.

Both are also accused of engaging in organized crime.

Bell is accused of two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and aggravated kidnapping. He's held on $450,000 bond.

Abron faces a prostitution charge.

where were the parents? Why did the patrons sit and watch...why did they not turn the club in? They had to know it was a child...or are they just to..sick to want to watch a 12 year old..probablly the same age as some of their own children or grandchildren? There are a lot of sick-o-'s in this world and all parents should do their best to know where their children are and if you can't control them, there is help in the police depts or with your local pastor.

the article said she was a runaway. Perhaps the parents were not aware of her whereabouts. There are children who are pretty good at keeping their parents at bay and out of their lives. We should pray for the family. There are also kids who have fake ID's that make it look legal. There are a lot of pieces missing from this puzzle and we should not judge. It isn't right but we do not know everything.

First of all, Obviously the parents don't care. Secondly the club owner should be put in jail for a long time for allowing a minor to strip. Who knows what else he or she has done with a minor. I also think the parents need to be punished, I mean, I understand that sometimes young children get involved with the wrong crowd but it is the parents responsability to straighten them out. Even if that means shipping them off to boot camp. It would only be for their own safety. They'll thank youlater

It is time for us all to wake up and see the product of our times. At Twelve she doesn't have the years to tell her that this is wrong. I suggest you look at the parental angle and where the money is. There are parents in this day and age that will do almost anything to make a buck. If it is getting there 12 year old to seek employment as a stripper, money in the pocket. There are many angles that people search for that is money orientated. This is just the tip of the Ice berg. So wake up

First of all a 12 yr old child is just that "a 12 yr old CHILD"! and for a GROWN MAN to sit here and say that he has "Known many 12 yrs olds that are hot" is a man that has serious probs! can we say PEDOPHILE? hmm yeah thats what I thought....get some help Mister...you have no business looking at a 12 yr old child that way! I guess the statistics were right, the number of pedophiles that live here in Corpus Christi is a vast number so I urge parents to keep a watchful eye on their kids!
