Arrest Made in the Deaths of Two Patients at Dialysis Center

KIIITV News

LUFKIN, Texas (AP) - Lufkin police today arrested a former dialysis center nurse allegedly involved in the deaths of two of the center's patients.

Kimberly Clark Saenz, 34, is a licensed vocational nurse and former employee with the DaVita Lufkin Dialysis Center.

Police say she allegedly injected two patients with bleach, causing them to suffer health complications, according to reports in the Lufkin Daily News' Friday online edition and KETK-TV in Tyler.

Saenz is being held in the Angelina County Jail and is charged with two counts of aggravated assault, a second-degree felony.

Police reports say detectives obtained a warrant for Saenz's arrest after finding evidence at the facility.

The California-based company said it fired an employee from the Lufkin center on April 29, one day after closing its doors for an investigation by local, state and federal agencies.
