FORREST CITY, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas State Police say they arrested two people after finding about 200 pounds of marijuana inside their car.

Troopers say Victor Padilla, 22, of Edinburg, Texas, and Maricela Guerrero, 20, of Cicero, Ill., were arrested Monday after a routine traffic stop along Interstate 40 in eastern Arkansas. A trooper reported smelling marijuana in the car and said the two gave conflicting stories about their travels.

Troopers say they found 50 pounds of marijuana stored inside of luggage and another 150 pounds inside a false compartment in the car.

Both face charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both were being held Tuesday in the St. Francis County jail on $100,000 bond.
