FORT HOOD, Texas (AP) - Three soldiers from Fort Hood have been killed in Iraq.
The incident happened when an improvised explosive device detonated near their vehicle last week, the Defense Department says.

Three men have been identified as:
-- Sergeant John Rode, 24, of Pineville, North Carolina;
-- Sergeant Carl Seigart, 32, San Luis Obispo, California;
-- Specialist Ronnie Madore Junior, 34, of San Diego.
The three men were assigned to the 1st Battalion, 12th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division at Fort Hood.
