The founder of one orphanage in Uganda is asking South Texans to help make a difference.
Reverend Ben Rumuheirwe, along with his wife Lily and children, are in the Coastal Bend this week trying to gather support for a school they are building in Uganda.
The school's mission is to help educate orphans left homeless after being diagnosed with HIV and AIDS.
The family is hoping to inspire South Texans to do missionary work and help build the school. They took that message to Annapolis Christian Academy, Thursday.
"That's been my joy, seeing those motherless and fatherless children be given hope," Rumuheirwe said, "to have some root for them and see them rise up through the tough and thick circumstances, to be able to have hope."
