Update to Fatal Accident in Robstown

We are learning more about the man that was killed Monday night after he was hit by an 18-wheeler.

James Davis, 71, was parked on the shoulder of U. S. Highway 77 South of Robstown with his common law wife, conferring about directions.

Davis was about to get back in his car when he was struck by an 18-wheeler.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.  Davis' common law wife fortunately wasn't injured.

Authorities tell us the 18-wheeler was from McAllen.  State troopers are still investigating whether they well cite or charge the driver with anything.
