Updated: Mathis Residents Remain Under Water Boil Alert on Sunday

The water boil for Mathis residents remained in effect on Sunday.  The alert was called after a leak was discovered in one of the city's main water pipes.
We caught up with crews out at the scene of where the pipe had burst on Saturday.
At first..workers couldn't find the leak because of the rain.
The city was forced to shut down the system, leaving some residents without water for a good part of the day yesterday.
The leak was eventually discovered in a drainage ditch across from the plant and has since been repaired.
Still, the city is urging residents to boil their water for drinking and cooking purposes in order to kill bacteria that might be in the water.
This will not be lifted until the TCEQ tests the water which should be Monday.
