Vigil Held for Girl Killed in Hit & Run Accident One Year Ago

Corpus Christi resident, Kimberly Encinia, was killed one year ago in a hit and run accident walking to church.

Last night, family and friends gathered to remember the 24-year old.

"Now I'm learning more and more how she impacted people's lives," Mary Encinia, Kimberly's mother said. "I'm honored to have been her home."

The service took place at the Lord of the Harvest Church.

Encinia was killed on Ennis Joslin near McArdle.

Investigators say she was hit by a white truck.

The driver never stopped and has yet to be caught.
