Volunteers Needed After Food Bank Receives Big Donation Haul

The Food Bank of Corpus Christi is in need of volunteers to help sort through a major donation haul they received this past weekend.

"The community came together," said Bea Hanson, executive director of the Food Bank of Corpus Christi. "With the help of the post office, we received over 14,000 pounds of good food."

The food was donated through the post office's annual Stamp Out Hunger donation drive. Now, the Food Bank needs volunteers to step up and help them box all the goods so they can be distributed to the public.

If you want to help, call the Food Bank of Corpus Christi at 361-887-6291.
