Windsor Park Student's Artwork to be Displayed at Smithsonian

A student from Windsor Park Elementary is receiving top honors after his work was selected to be displayed at the Smithsonian in Washington D.C.

Nathan Alanmanou's artwork, titled "Pollution Affects Everyone," will be displayed at the world's largest museum. He created it over spring break and also received some help from his mom and sister.

Nathan's art teacher said that he received the call last week and was notified that his artwork is going to be displayed on a national tour at the Smithsonian.

"I'm one out of a lot of people that has a painting that's in the Smithsonian, because not very many people make posters or pictures that make it to Smithsonian, so it's kind of like an honor," Nathan said.

The fourth grader's art was showcased at the Texas State Aquarium. He was also selected as one of the winners of a nationwide contest.
