Women Receive Health Education at Girl Talk Event

More than 200 women are taking part in a new fun and educational event called Girl Talk. It actually happened in the main meeting room at the Kiii-TV Studios.

The goal of the program is to empower women to make better health decisions. All guests were asked to write down a question they have always wanted to ask a physician, and a number of health care providers were on hand to answer those questions.

"I think it is a great opportunity," said Janie Rodriguez, who attended the event.

"I expect to gain a little more knowledge," said Belinda Sanchez, who was also in attendance. "Just take better care of myself."

To attend the event, guests had to have a reserved spot. Another Girl Talk event is expected to take place later this year.
