It's a race not for the faint of heart! Those brave enough gathered to try their hand at racing rattlesnakes. It's a part of the 41st annual World Championship Rattlesnake Races taking place in historic Old San Patricio. Event organizers say people from across the US come out to take part. we caught up with one of the winners today.
Robert Wyman who won his heat said, "they just kind of give you a snake. I kept beating the ground and ended up winning! I don't know if it's a local thing or just being able to handle rattlesnakes before that helped out."
Steven Moore the ring master said, "the family fun is number one out here! Get off the couch, put down that video game, and come out and play in our back yard!" The winner of the championship will receive bragging rights and a trophy. The race continues through Sunday.
