Young Patients Become Doctors at Teddy Bear Hospital Event

Patients at Driscoll Children's Hospital got to play the role of doctor on Wednesday. It was a unique way to show the young patients that they don't have to be scared of surgery.

The program, called Teddy Bear Hospital, allow the kids to become the doctors while the teddy bears take on the role of patient. The young "doctors" help perform surgery on the stuffed animals.

Through the process, the youngsters are able to become more familiar with medical equipment and the processes involved when going under the knife.

A donation from Stripes helped make Wednesday's event possible.
