YWCA's 22nd Annual Yuletide Market Kicks Off

Christmas is just around the corner, and some folks from around the Coastal Bend got a head start Friday morning.

The 22nd annual YWCA Yuletide Market kicked off Friday at the American Bank Center. More than 50 upscale vendors from all over Texas set up shop there, selling candles, clothing and jewelry.

The Yuletide Market is an annual fundraiser for the YWCA. Folks say it is a great way to bring out vendors, all for a good cause to support our community.

"It's a great way to start your Christmas shopping," vendor Rita Stracener said. "You'll find handmade clothes there and jewelry."

If you missed it, you have one more chance. The Yuletide Market will be open from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday. Regular admission is $5 dollars. For seniors, it's $4.
