Jeffcoat to coach Houston defensive line

HOUSTON (AP) - Former Dallas Cowboys assistant coach and player
Jim Jeffcoat has been hired to coach the Houston Cougars' defensive
line.
Houston coach Kevin Sumlin announced the hiring today, pointing
to Jeffcoat's more than 20 years of experience in the NFL. Jeffcoat
played for 15 years and coached for six.
As a player, Jeffcoat finished with 102.5 career sacks, 745
tackles and 194 quarterback pressures. He played for the Cowboys
for 12 seasons and was on two Super Bowl champion teams.
Jeffcoat had been in private business in the Dallas area the
past four years.
