Aggies Survive Tennessee Rally To Reach 6-0

COLLEGE STATION (USA TODAY) - In a double overtime thriller between two top-10 teams from the SEC, No. 7 Texas A&M narrowly held off No. 9 Tennessee, 45-38, on Saturday night.
In the second overtime, Aggies quarterback Trevor Knight rushed in for the game-winning touchdown and DB Armani Watts had an interception to seal the win.
Knight, who finished with 239 yards passing and two touchdowns in the air, had another crucial score on the ground in the fourth quarter on a 62-yard run to put the Aggies up, 35-21. But Tennessee wouldn't go away and stormed back to force overtime behind two Alvin Kamara touchdowns — the first on a 4-yard run with 2:07 left and then the next on an 18-yard reception with 41 seconds remaining in regulation.
Texas A&M and Tennessee each connected on field goals in the first overtime to force another frame. Trayveon Williams had 217 yards rushing to pace the Aggies' offense. Volunteers' quarterback Joshua Dobbs finished with 398 yards passing and 57 yards rushing.
