Boxer drops his briefs to meet weight limit for upcoming fight

CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - Just a day away from a world title defense at the American Bank Center, you wouldn't believe what the defending champ had to do to make the weight for the fight.

Gilberto Ramirez, the WBO Super Middleweight Champion, weighed in at 168.1 pounds -- just .1 over the 168 pound weight limit.

So he did what he had to do to drop some weight -- he dropped his drawers.

Covered up only by a Mexican flag, Ramirez stripped down to his birthday suit and met his limit.

Ramirez's opponent, Habib Ahmed, had no problem meeting his limit and got to keep his briefs on.

You can see that main event starting at 9:15 p.m. Saturday on ESPN. Tickets are still available as well.
