Calallen Placing Trust In New QB Colton Duff

CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII SPORTS) - Calallen is coming off of a bye and the Wildcats are set to open up the playbook for backup quarterback Colton Duff.

Duff got his first start of the season two weeks ago against King, but mostly stuck to the ground game in a big win over the Mustangs.

Duff has now had two full weeks to get ready for a Carroll team that's coming off of a loss to Alice.

Danaher says he's confident Duff can air it out if the Tigers decide to try and shut down the 'Cats running game.

Calallen and Carroll square off for the first time sine 2013 when rain and lightning wiped out the game. The game will be played Friday night at 7:30pm at Calallen's Phil Danaher Stadium.
