Carroll Looking Stay Perfect Against Upstart Texans

The Carroll Tigers know they'll have to be efficient offensively to beat a solid Ray team.

CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII SPORTS) - It's a early season battle of unbeatens Friday as the Carroll Tigers get set for the Ray Texans who are coming off an upset win of King in week one.

The Tigers' offense took a bit to get going under new coach Jerry Long, with Carroll struggling with the "Slot T" early against Miller before turning it on in the second half with three touchdowns in the 35-7 win.

Now Carroll faces a Ray offense that put up 35 points of their own against a solid Mustangs team.

The Tigers know they'll need that second half performance if they're still going to be undefeated after Friday.
