CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII SPORTS) - The St. John Paul II Centurions have seen their playoff drought climb to four years and counting, and new Head Coach Bradley Chavez is looking to build a brand new culture at the TAPPS school.
Chavez is entering his first full season after taking over midway last year during John Paul's 1-9 mark. The former AFL receiver and linebacker says he stuck with the plan last year for continuity during the season, but once the offseason came started going about cultural changes to the program including a much stricter workout program.
Chavez admits to there being a "John Paul curse" in the past, but says this team is thinking more long term and pushing themselves to the next level.
