CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII SPORTS) - The Ray Texans' baseball team is coming off the most successful season in over 60 years, but can they take that next step and get to state?
The Texans came up just short in their bid to get to Round Rock, falling to Moody in the region final, but Ray returns seven starters from that team that flew under the radar. Now the texans have a bullseye on their backs with being one of the preseason favorites in District 30-5A.
The players and coaches say it'll be different playing with those outside expectations, but they only match the same expectations the texans already had of themselves last season.
