CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII SPORTS) - The IceRays' first ever playoff series win was the best thing to happen to the franchise since joining the NAHL in 2010, but it came at a price.
That price is $40,000 to $50,000 dollars. That's what it's going to cost the team to play their second round "home" games at a neutral site with the American Bank Center booked solid the next two weeks.
The Rays will have to turn to San Antonio, the Valley, Houston or Austin as potential host sites, something the team is not overly happy about, but nonetheless having to deal with.
Corpus Christi will face either the Lone Star Brahmas or Wichita Falls Wildcats with Forth Worth up 2-0 in their series.
