Texas A&M-Corpus Christi received a letter from the NCAA on Thursday outlining nine alleged rules violations by the Islander athletics department.

The university has until October 29, 2008 to formally respond to the allegations. Seven of the infractions outlined in the letter occurred under current Islander athletic director Brian Teter. Teter was not present at a press conference late Thursday afternoon in which the university released the contents of the NCAA letter.

Vice President of Institutional Advancement Dr. Trent Hill outlined the letter in his role as chairman of the university's ad-hoc oversight committee.
