Local Boxer Beaten in National Golden Gloves

Tools

Local amateur boxer Enrique Rodriguez lost on Thursday night in the 125 lb. quarterfinals of the National Golden Gloves tournament in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Enrique was beaten 5-0 by Washington, DC fighter Kevin Rivers. Rivers dominated the fight from start to finish, impressing the judges enough to score the one-sided decision over the hard-working Rodriguez.

Enrigue ends his quest for a national title just two wins short of a spot in the Golden Gloves finals.
