The Ice Rays have only had two games in the 2009 season, but they also already have two disappointing losses.

Corpus Christi failed to hold a 2-1 third period lead as the Mud Bugs of Bossier-Shreveport rallied with 3 goals to win 4-3 Saturday at the American Bank Center. This just one night after the Ice Rays fell in a shootout Friday at Odessa.

The Ice Rays tied the game at 2 in the first period thanks to a Chris Richards rebound goal off a Maxime Boisclair miss. Morgan MacLean then put Corpus ahead 2-1 with a goal a few minutes later.

After a scoreless second period, the Ice Rays allowed 3 goals in the final period including the game winner by the Mud Bugs' Neil Clark.
