KINGSVILLE, TX--It was a homecoming for the ages Saturday night at Javelina Stadium, as the Javs' Fred "Hollywood" Winborn broke legendary running back Johnny Bailey's single rushing mark in A&M-Kingsville's 38-31 win over Eastern New Mexico.

Winborn ran for 263 yards on the night, breaking Bailey's mark of 254 yards set back in 1987. Winborn broke the record on a 32-yard touchdown run in the 4th quarter, his third score of the game. Winborn's first touchdown on the day came on a 16 yard run with 11:56 left in the 1st quarter to make it 7-0 Kingsville. The hoggies never lost the lead after that, but did have to hold on late against the Greyhounds.

Eastern New Mexico's quarterback JJ Harp connected with Chase Kyser with 3:24 left in the game to cut the Javs' lead to 38-31. But Kingsville recovered the ensuing onside kick and put the game away.

The Javelinas (8-1) next hit the road to Abilene to take on the Wildcats of ACU (8-2). Abilene Christian lost its second straight game of the year Saturday as they fell to Tarleton St. 13-6.
