WIMBLEDON, England (AP) - Top-ranked Ana Ivanovic has been upset
by Zheng Jie of China in the third round at Wimbledon.
Ivanovic lost 6-1, 6-4 to Zheng, who was ranked No. 133 entering
Centre Court on Friday. Ivanovic earned the No. 1 ranking after a
win at the French Open.
The 20-year-old Serbian player had to save two match points in
her second-round win over Nathalie Dechy. She had no answer for the
powerful shots from Zheng, a former Wimbledon doubles champion.
Ivanovic went out a day after third-seeded Maria Sharapova was
upset in the second round.
