ST. PETERSBURG (AP) - The Tampa Bay Rays have won their
first-ever postseason game in a 6-4 final over the Chicago White
Sox. Rays rookie Evan Longoria homered in his first two at bats and
drove in three runs on three hits and scored twice.
The White Sox came back on a two-run homer from Dewayne Wise in
the top of the third, but lost that lead in the bottom of the
inning when the Rays scored three more runs.
James Shields got the win. Former Astros pitcher Dan Wheeler pitched the ninth to get
the save.
