Business is up slightly at various HEB stores in the Coastal Bend, as folks came in Monday for water, batteries, canned goods and flashlights. It was hard to keep gallon water jugs on the shelves.

Corpus Christi resident Sarah Young says she's ready to evacuate if need be, and came by the store to get water, candles, and ice.

"We don't want to be home with out electricity, you know stuck," said Sarah.

In addition to a warehouse full of hurricane emergency supplies, HEB officials say they've made sure the stores' gas pumps are full, just in case there's a rush on folks filling up.
