Hooks Schedule Two Games With Round Rock

February 11, 2009

CORPUS CHRISTI – The 2009 Corpus Christi Hooks play sister club Round Rock in exhibition games on Sunday, April 5 and Tuesday, April 7, general manager Michael Wood announced Wednesday.

The Hooks travel to Central Texas and the Dell Diamond for a 2 p.m. start on the 5th. Round Rock returns the game in a 6 o’clock Whataburger Field contest two days later.

“It’s always fun to get together with the Express,” Wood said. “It’s a free game for season-ticket holders and all of our fans enjoy seeing former Hooks who’ve gone on to the Triple-A level.”

Corpus Christi’s first home action is the highly anticipated first-ever meeting with the Houston Astros on Thursday, April 2.

Remaining tickets go to public sale on Saturday, March 7, at 9 a.m. They’ll be available at the Whataburger Field box office and by calling 561-HOOK. Single-game tickets for the entire 2009 schedule go on sale at the same time.

The Hooks begin their fifth season of Texas League play at home vs. Tulsa on Thursday, April 9
