Texans get Brown

NEW YORK (AP) - The Houston Texans have picked up offensive
tackle Duane Brown of Virginia Tech with the 26th selection in the
NFL draft.
Brown played both left and right tackle as a junior before
starting all 14 games on the left side in 2007. He started his
college career as a tight end, grabbing three passes for 64 yards
and a touchdown in 2003.
The 6-foot-4, 315-pound Brown is a fine athlete with long arms
and good balance. He impressed scouts in the East-West Shrine Game
and the Combine, increasing his value. Brown has the physical tools
to become a quality lineman in the NFL, but he must play with more
toughness.
