(4-26-08)

Cardinals 4, Astros 3

ST. LOUIS (AP) - Lance Berkman hit two home runs, but it wasn't
enough for Houston, as the Astros lost 3-2 to St. Louis on
Saturday.
Skip Schumaker's RBI single in the bottom of the ninth won it
for the Cardinals.
The defeat snapped the Astros' six-game winning streak.
Houston took a 1-0 lead in the first on Kaz Matsui's first home
run of the season.
St. Louis took a 3-1 lead in the third, but the Astros tied it
with a Berkman homer in the fourth and another in the seventh.
Berkman has eight homers on the season.
The teams almost came to blows in the third inning after St.
Louis pitcher Adam Wainright threw behind Brad Ausmus. Earlier,
Houston's Roy Oswalt hit Cardinals catcher Jason LaRue with a
pitch.
