Texans Take Six on Day Two of NFL Draft
April 27, 2008 The Houston Texans picked up three offensive and four defensive players during day two of the NFL Draft. The Texans started their Sunday by selecting Kentucky defensive back Antwan Molden in the third round with the 79th overall pick. The Texans then added depth at running back by taking Steve Slaton of West Virginia with their other third round selection. Houston chose Virginia Tech LB Xavier Adibi in round four. Adibi is expected to start on special teams and add backup depth at linebacker. University of Texas defensive lineman Frank Okam in round five. The 6-4, 322-lb Okam started 39 of 50 games with the Longhorns. Minnesota safety Dominique Barber became the Texans' 6th round pick. He is the brother of Dallas Cowboys running back Marion Barber. Quarterback Alex Brink was the Texans' final draft pick. The former Washington State Cougar set school records with 79 touchdowns and 10,913 yards passing during his years in Pullman. |

I am a WSU alum. Alex Brink is a great steal in the draft. He's a smart, accurate thrower. If he were on a better college team or at a more nationally known program he would've gone higher. He routinely put 3-4 touchdowns on the board every game, but his teams never had any D.
