CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) - There was a time not too long ago when pediatricians rarely saw a child with type 2 diabetes. But in just a 10 year period, a dramatic change.
Currently, about 151-thousand people below the age of 20 have diabetes, when the numbers were close to nothing back in the 90s. Additionally, a recent study of 8th-grade students in American communities at high risk of diabetes reveals over half of the children were either overweight or obese, and that nearly a third of them had pre-diabetes.
