CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) - Pharmacist Ron Garza joins john Thomas on Tuesday's 3 News First Edition to talk about diabetic testing supplies.
If you or someone you love just found out they are type one or type two diabetic, we want to share some tips on managing your diabetes the moment you enter a pharmacy to pick up a glucose meter.
Diabetics use glucose meters to test their blood to see how much sugar is in their system. Garza recommends using attesting meter that allows for alternate site testing where you can test on other parts of your body like your palm or your arm.
Also be weary of false advertisements that claim you don't need blood to use their glucose meter. Garza says you always need blood to test you sugar levels.
