CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) – HEB Pharmacy Manager Rose Guevara-Garza joins John Thomas on Tuesday's 3 News First Edition to talk about HEB's battle against disease in the community.
Every second Saturday of each month, HEB Pharmacies holds a free blood glucose and blood pressure screening. Garza says during these poor economic times, people can get this blood test and decide if they do need to go to the doctors or not. HED also offers A1C tests which is a 3 month history of blood glucose levels and a full lipid panel. Then can take these tests with them to their doctor.
The Second Saturday Screenings take place at any HEB with a Pharmacy from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Their purpose is to help educate the community and help them learn to manage their health better.
