Stores putting limits on extreme couponing

Posted: Updated:

(CNN) - Coupons are meant to save people a little money, but stores say some shoppers are taking it too far.

They're called extreme couponers, and they can shave a grocery bill down to just a couple dollars with creative use of coupons.

Now, stores are cracking down on the method.

Some chains, such as Rite Aid, are limiting the number of identical coupons a shopper can use to four.

And Target is putting a stop to shoppers using two "buy one, get one" coupons to get both items free.
