Camera crews from C-SPAN are spending their week in Beaumont.
The network is recording the city's history and literary life for use on the cable network's C-SPAN-2 and C-SPAN-3.
Producers will be spending the week interviewing local historians,
authors and civic leaders. The programming will include stories on the
Spindletop-Gladys City Museum, The McFaddin-Ward house and the Texas
energy museum.
a special public kick-off event was held Tuesday at the Spindletop-Gladys City Boomtown museum.
The programs will air February 4th and 5th on Book-TV and American history TV.
