CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) - K-9 Coach Floyd Swydan joins Kim Passoth on 3 News First Edition along with the Ferguson Family to talk about the best age to train your pup.
Swydan suggests starting training as soon as eight weeks old when it comes to dogs, as it is easier to train them when they are young. When it comes to fixing begging behavior, Swydan says to not fall into giving them something every time they beg, and recommends following your dog's food and water schedule.
The Fergusons say having their puppy, Kaya, is similar to having a baby in the house. They say they had to make sure to "babyprooof" their home, so that Kaya would not get into anything. After spending several weeks with the coach, the Fergusons say Kaya is coming along pretty well in her training.
