CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) - This week's 3 Star Student is Danielle Lu from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Academy.
Lu says she likes school because she learns something different everyday. Her favorite subject is science, and she enjoys participating in her school's spelling bee every year.
Not only does Lu excel in the classroom, she also plays sports for her school's volleyball team and is a member of the National Junior Honor Society. "She is just one of those well-rounded students that you wish to have in every classroom," says Assistant Principal Michelle Garcia.
For being this week's 3 Star Student All Star, Danielle will receive a certificate of recognition signed by all the 3 News anchors and a 3 Start Student bumper sticker. The team from First Community Bank also has opened a savings account and deposited the first $25. Hopefully, that will help get her started on saving for college.
