Corpus Christi (Kiii Sports) - Longtime South Texas football coach Joe Sendejar has resigned as head coach at Tuloso-Midway. Sendejar posted a 15-27 record in four seasons with the Warriors. His 2009 team won its first seven games of the season, but lost in the first round of the playoffs.

Former Tuloso-Midway athlete Brian Boone, who is a member of the current football staff, will serve as interim coach and athletic director. T-M Superintendent Sue Nelson expects to fill the position prior to April.

3Sports was the first to report the story late Thursday afternoon.
