KINGSVILLE (Kiii Sports) - The Texas A&M-Kingsville Javelinas remained in a tie for first place in the Lone Star Conference with a double-header sweep of Eastern New Mexico.
The Javelinas rallied from a 3-0 deficit in Game 1 to with seven straight runs in a 7-3 win at Nolan Ryan Field. Adam Aspaas recovered from a shaky start to toss a complete game and notch the win.
A&M-Kingsville got a solid six innings from Dallas Ponder in a 4-1 Game 2 win. Ponder struck out seven Greyhounds in notching his third win of the year. The second win of the Saturday afternoon kept the Hoggies in a first place tie in the conference with Angelo State, who swept their own double-header with Cameron.
