CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
Friday is the last day of classes for the Corpus Christi Independent School District and to help mark the occasion, some students from one elementary school received something almost as good as an "A."
A new bike, several students from Gibson Elementary were rewarded for not missing a day of school this semester. The gift comes courtesy of Valero Refinery through their Adopt-A-School Partnership.
In all, 100 students from the school had perfect attendance, but 14 were selected in a drawing to get some new wheels.
In addition to the bike, each student also received a helmet to make sure their summer riding is a safe time.
