Round Rock (Kiii Sports)- A&M Consolidated took a page out of the Carroll playbook on Friday as they rallied late to beat the Tigers at their own game and advance to the Class 5A State Championship Game.
The 2-1 win featured a 2-run rally in the top of the 7th inning which was keyed by a bad-bounce base hit on an 0-2 count.
The Tigers were unable to muster a hit in the bottom of the 7th as Consolidated pulled off the upset of top-seeded Carroll, which finished its season with a 32-5 record.
