A big grand re-opening happened this weekend for one of the more popular HEB's in town. The HEB on Robert and Alameda is celebrating the completion of a big expansion project.
The new makeover offers customers over five thousand new products, and featuring a fruit bar, a new sandwich bar, and a state of the art pharmacy.
Javier Wiley, the unit director at the store told 3 News, "I think the community wanted to see something much better on this side of town, and that's exactly what we did. The old store was 66-thousand square feet and now it's 80-thousand square feet."
As part of Saturday's grand re-opening, HEB donated 2500 dollars to nearby Windsor Park Elementary for their e-library program.
