Corpus Christi (Kiii Sports)- The Corpus Christi Hooks got another strong outing from their pitching staff as they beat San Antonio 5-1. The win was the Hooks' fifth straight.
Starting pitcher Jose Cisnero went 7 strong innings with 6 strikeouts to keep San Antonio in check. Jose Martinez added to a 10-game hitting streak by clubbing a 3-run home run that put the Hooks ahead for good.
Corpus Christi is now tied with Midland for second place in the Texas League's Southern Division. They are 5 games behind first place Frisco with 8 games left in the first half of the regular season.
