Howard Stobbs has had more than $2,000 worth of property stolen from his Calallen land in the past couple weeks. The most recent break-in happened Monday morning in broad daylight.
The 84-year old victim of these crimes said he's had enough.
"I could of got both those boys today if I had my gun," he said.
Stobbs scared them off before they could get away with his property, but last time, he said, he wasn't so lucky. They stole a generator worth hundreds of dollars, even though it was chained up. The crooks came prepared.
"They came in here with a torch and cut it," Stobbs said. "I found a hacksaw right here. They tried to cut with this but couldn't cut it."
Stobbs posted up a "no trespassing" sign on his fence, but apparently the thieves are not getting the message. But this he's not giving up.
"I went this afternoon and I'm going to load a shotgun," Stobbs said. "I've had it."
He said he'll do whatever it takes to protect his home, his property and his peace of mind.
