Usually around this time, most high school students spend their summer sleeping in or just hanging out with friends, but not this group of kids.
Thursday at the Del Mar College West Campus, dozens of high school students spent their morning learning how they can earn college credit while still attending high school.
The director of Early College Programs said they wanted to collaborate early with the various high schools so students can get a positive first experience entering college.
Students also learned about court reporting, culinary arts and nursing.
